Koeldozen kopen — voor elke zending de juiste isolatie

Een koeldoos houdt je product op temperatuur tijdens transport. Welke het beste past, hangt af van hoe lang je zending onderweg is, hoeveel je verstuurt, hoe belangrijk duurzaamheid is en of je herbruikbaar of eenmalig wilt verpakken. Cooled Solutions produceert en levert het volledige assortiment, van klassiek piepschuim tot recyclebaar karton en herbruikbaar EPP. Hieronder vind je per type waar het sterk in is.

Welke koeldoos past bij jouw zending?

EPS dozen (piepschuim) — maximale isolatie en bescherming

De EPS doos is de klassieke koeldoos: hoge isolatiewaarde, stevig en schokbestendig. Ideaal voor vlees, vis, farma en alles waar bescherming én isolatie samenkomen. Kies een dunne wand voor korte ritten of een dikke wand voor 24 tot 48 uur.

Kartonnen koeldozen — 100% recyclebaar alternatief

Onze kartonnen koeldozen (Eco Coolbox, honingraad en isolatiedozen met TempGuard) bieden vergelijkbare isolatie als EPS, maar gaan na gebruik gewoon bij het oud papier. De duurzame keuze voor merken die plasticvrij willen verpakken.

Thermodozen — opvouwbaar en pallet-efficiënt

De thermodoos combineert een kartonnen buitendoos met een 4-laags of 6-laags isolatiezak. Omdat de doos plat geleverd wordt, passen er tot 5× zoveel op een pallet — fors voordeel in opslag en transport. Ideaal voor e-commerce vers en maaltijdboxen.

EPP dozen — sterk en honderden keren herbruikbaar

De EPP doos is sterker en veerkrachtiger dan EPS en gaat honderden retourcycli mee. De juiste keuze voor closed-loop systemen zoals zorglogistiek en labtransport.

Mobiele koelboxen — voor onderweg en op locatie

Zoek je een draagbare oplossing, kijk dan naar onze koelboxen van 12 tot 32 liter, met of zonder 12V-aansluiting — herbruikbaar en geschikt voor transport, evenementen en mobiele zorg.

Hoe werkt een koeldoos in de praktijk?

De isolatie komt van het materiaal én van de manier waarop je inpakt. Hoe dikker de wand of hoe meer isolatielagen, hoe langer de inhoud op temperatuur blijft. Minstens zo belangrijk is de vulling: lege ruimte is je vijand. Pak zo strak mogelijk in en leg de koelelementen bovenop het product, want koude lucht zakt naar beneden en koelt zo gelijkmatig. De koelduur hangt verder af van de buitentemperatuur, de transittijd en het aantal koelelementen.

Waarvoor worden koeldozen gebruikt?

  • Vlees, vis en zuivel. Gekoeld en bevroren transport, vaak met absorptiematten tegen smeltwater.
  • Maaltijdboxen en e-commerce vers. Lichte, voordelige verpakking voor next-day delivery van versproducten.
  • Farma en medisch. Cold-chain transport in de 2-8 °C range, met koelelementen of PCM-packs.
  • Diepvries. In combinatie met droogijs blijft de inhoud ruim 48 uur bevroren.

Welke koeldoos is het beste?

Er is geen één beste keuze — het hangt af van je prioriteit. Voor maximale isolatie en bescherming kies je EPS dikke wand. Voor duurzaamheid karton of honingraad. Voor hergebruik EPP. Voor opslag- en transportbesparing de opvouwbare thermodoos. Twijfel je? Which cooler box do I need?
That depends on your priority. Maximum insulation and protection: EPS thick wall. Durability: cardboard cooler box or honeycomb. Reuse (closed-loop): EPP. Storage and transport savings: foldable thermal box. Portable use on the go: a mobile cooler. If you’re unsure between two options, request a sample.
How long does a cooler box stay cold?
In practice, roughly 12 to 48 hours, depending on the type, wall thickness or number of insulation layers, the number of gel packs, and the outside temperature. A thin-walled EPS box lasts about 8-12 hours, a thick-walled one with gel packs 24-48 hours, and with dry ice the contents remain frozen for over 48 hours.
What is the difference between EPS, cardboard, and a thermal box?
EPS (expanded polystyrene) insulates the most and provides the strongest protection. Cardboard cool boxes insulate similarly but are 100% recyclable. The thermo box is a cardboard box with a separate insulated liner that is delivered flat, allowing you to save significantly on storage and transport. The choice mainly comes down to protection versus sustainability versus storage efficiency.
Do I need to order gel packs separately?
Yes, for most coolers, you order gel packs separately. A cooler insulates but does not cool by itself. Place the gel packs on top of the product for even cooling. Our portable coolers do come standard with 2 gel packs.
